A Destined Mismatched: Canada
Some matches are written in the stars. Others are written by family.
Can love rewrite what destiny has already decided? When Parmeet Gill leaves Chandigarh for Toronto, she has no plans beyond building a career and an independent life. Marriage is nowhere on her list. But when two Punjabi families begin discussing a match, one problem threatens to end everything before it begins. Their kundalis don't match. According to tradition, the stars say they shouldn't be together. According to their families, it's complicated. According to Malkeet Sandhu, some things matter more than numbers. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Toronto, from the familiar rumble of the 504 King streetcar to quiet evenings in Brampton, A Destined Mismatched: Canada is a heartwarming contemporary romance about family, friendship, culture, and finding home in unexpected places. As old beliefs meet modern lives, Parmeet and Malkeet discover that love isn't always about finding the perfect match. Sometimes it's about choosing each other, one quiet moment at a time. Perfect for readers who enjoy slow-burn romance, multicultural family stories, and emotionally rich contemporary fiction, this is the first novel in the A Destined Mismatched series.

Author’s Note
“Two people can be told by the stars that they do not belong together, and still build a life that works. I wanted to write about the distance between what tradition predicts and what people actually choose, and to set it somewhere I find quietly romantic: Toronto in the cold, where a Punjabi family's expectations travel just as far as they do.”

I loved how the story brought together romance, family traditions, and the struggle between what destiny says and what the heart wants.
